But a substance that is almost the opposite of heavy fuels is poised to play a larger role in the stewardship of natural resources and pollution: Water. Technology is a thirsty sector, and with semiconductor manufacturing growing in the U.S. under the CHIPS Act, companies will be under increased pressure to disclose their water usage.
